Beautiful black Carbon Fiber PLA with light sheen to the finish. This material prints very easily and the layers blend together resulting in production level finishes. The material is fully opaque and only comes in a black color.

 

Proto-pasta CFPLA is an excellent material due to its near-zero warping and great cooling properties. CFPLA is more brittle than standard PLA and will resist bending which makes it a great choice for rigid parts. The surface finish of CFPLA has a beautiful sheen and the layers blend together seemlessly. SInce the filament does not warp, it will not bridge as well as standard PLA.

*Note: CFPLA is much more abrasive than standard PLA filament and may wear down your nozzle much faster. When using a j-head hotend, we can successfully run 5-6 spools through a hotend before noticable wear is observed resulting in reduced print quality. After the nozzle has noticable wear you will need to purchase a new hotend. Your result may vary depending on slicing settings and the model design.

  • PLA (Polylactic Acid) 3D Printer Filament with Carbon Fiber Vacuumed Sealed With Desiccant
  • Cardboard Spool Dimensions (Approx) Diameter: 8" - Spool Width: 2.15" - Spool Hub Hole Diameter: 2"
  • Heated bed not required
  • Can be printed with same settings as standard PLA

Recommended Settings:

  • First Layer Temperature 201C
  • All other Layers 208C
  • 40mm/sec - 100mm/s
  • Low to Medium Cooling
